Call of Duty: Mobile has quickly become one of the most popular games in the world since its launch in 2019. The free game offers all the Call of Duty Content fans await, including standard multiplayer, co-op zombies, and a massive battle royale mode. And unsurprisingly, Call of Duty: Mobile is also solidly supported with post-launch seasonal content. The last Call of Duty: Mobile update, season 6, is coming soon. And with it, Battle Royale players will be able to soar with a whole new feature.
The official subtitle of season 6 of Call of Duty: Mobile is To the Skies, and as the name suggests, players will soon be able to fly in the game’s battle royale mode. The biggest added feature of Season 6 will be the release of fighter jets, allowing Call of Duty: Mobile players to compete in intense dogfights. The Jackal planes found in the battle royale are equipped with both battle cannons and missiles, allowing for an exciting mix of air-to-air and air-to-ground combat.
But Activision isn’t going to create a new, unbalanced system where planes dominate the map, though. In addition to the jackal, Call of Duty: Mobile will also receive several anti-aircraft weapons spread across the map. Artillery can be used by Call of Duty: Mobile players hoping to clear the skies of any pesky planes that might harass those on the ground.
Also, to celebrate the addition of such an important new feature in Call of Duty: Mobile‘s battle royale, Activision will also be launching a special themed event. Jackal: Fueled Up will revolve around players contributing Jackal Fuel and Alias upgrades. This can be done by completing daily tasks or just playing Call of Duty: Mobilemultiplayer and battle royale game modes.
There’s a lot more content coming in Season 6 than just dogfights, of course. In fact, there is another major addition to Call of Duty: Mobile as a new card. Favela, a popular map of Call of Duty: Ghosts will be included for multiplayer game modes. There will also be 50 new battle pass tiers with new weapons like the KSP 45 and Operators including Sophia.
Season 6: To the Skies officially begins in Call of Duty: Mobile June 29 at 5:00 p.m. PT. Expect new battle royale jets, the Favela map for multiplayer, plus dozens of fixes and balance changes as part of the update, and more.
Call of Duty: Mobile is now available on iOS and Android devices.
