Call of Duty Mobile: Season 8 patch introduces a new Battle Royale map and more

Call of Duty: Mobile received an update ahead of the launch of the new season, and it’s pretty important. Read on to find out the most important things and changes you can expect in Season 8.

New Battle Royale Map

Those who played Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 may be familiar with the Blackout card. It was considered the largest card of Call of Duty history, and it comes to CODM later today.

Some iconic spots you can expect include Nuketown Island, the popular shooting range, and Verrückt Asylum.

Along with a new battle royale map, there is also a new vehicle called Rally Car. Although it is a bit slower than the Muscle Car, it can accommodate up to four people and offers ease of use and stability when equipped with the right modifications.

Gameplay updates

Call of Duty: Mobile will have some pretty huge changes when it comes to the overall gameplay. For one thing, the time needed to revive teammates has been increased to seven seconds.

In addition, the health care system has been overhauled. Your health now regenerates over time, and your equipped armor will now provide additional health. Keep in mind that the armor bonus doesn’t regenerate, just your health.

There are also changes to the Wingsuit and Slide mechanics. The Wingsuit has reduced horizontal speed and buoyancy for a more realistic feel when sliding. Glide distance is now affected by your current travel speed and grade. Plus, the camera has been optimized to follow you faster as you slide.

Weapon Modifications and Updates

Each weapon in the game now has three mod slots, which means you can place any mod you want to take over. In addition, the existing weapon mods have been updated and new ones are available for you to use.

There are new base weapons in Season 8 that can be unlocked through Battle Pass. The M13 assault rifle has a high rate of fire and a powerful headshot multiplier. The R9-0 shotgun has a high ammo capacity, which makes sense given that you can fire two cannons in quick succession.

For weapon adjustments, the AS VAL has its effective range and damage adjusted. This improved its viability at short and medium range while decreasing its performance at long range a bit.

Sniper Rifles and Sniper Rifles have their single shot range improved. This is a change to compensate for the weapon’s inherent sway when aiming down.

The efficiency of the M21 EBR has increased. Its range and damage have been significantly improved, but its vertical recoil and recoil are reduced. According to the developers, the modifications to this weapon allow you to kill a target through walls in two hits.
