Gunzilla Games has announced Off The Grid, its upcoming AAA battle royale third-person shooter, which is set to launch on next-gen consoles next year in 2023.
Off The Grid already has a trailer ahead of its launch for Xbox Series X|S, PS5, and PC in 2023:
“Set in a dystopian future, the cyberpunk-style shooter plans to evolve the genre with a heavy emphasis on narrative progression,” Gunzilla Games says. “A Battle Royale like no other, in OTG 150 players compete in PvP skirmishes, as well as PvE storyline missions using the same map inhabited by other players in real time. Players have the freedom to control the way the harsh story unfolds, with every decision made having a direct impact on everyone’s play. At the heart of the experience and deep narrative structure is the unique way players can create, customize and trade their in-game objects with each other. In OTG, the lines between hero and villain blur as players fight to survive the secret business battles of the future.”
Chief Visionary Officer Neill Blomkamp also issued a statement on Off The Grid, saying, “With OTG, our ambition is not just to create Battle Royale 2.0 by adding deep player progression, but to build a evolving world designed to take on a life of its own, changing in unexpected ways each time a player joins the game. With an innovative take on the core Battle Royale session flow and deep narrative experience, we add purpose to every element of the game, allowing players to revisit the OTG world over and over where there is always something new to discover and explore, and something we can expand on.
Off The Grid is currently set to launch on Xbox Series X|S, PS5, and PC in 2023. What do you think of what we’ve seen so far? Let us know in the comments!
