Eternal Return: Black Survival is still in Early Access but the game is progressing very well in its development. As the official launch approaches, as well as its release on Xbox, ERBS has big things in store for its fourth season. Here’s everything coming to the game in the coming weeks, including a preview of the first Battle Pass, the augment system, new skins, and a new game mode. Season 4 is slated to launch on November 11. .
Season 4 Battle Pass
Like all other games worthy of the name, ERBS introduces a Battle Pass system. The Battle Pass will engage players in playing more games in order to complete missions. This, in turn, will grant players special benefits. The first ERBS Battle Pass will be available for purchase at the start of Season 4, which launches in a few weeks.
In this Battle Pass, players will be able to unlock exclusive skins, announcer packs, character voice packs, emotes, rest effects and more. They will also earn A Coins, which can be used to unlock characters, as well as NP, which can be used to purchase premium items like character skins and even another Battle Pass. It will also give players the chance to earn enough NP to purchase the next Battle Pass. In addition to this, players will be able to purchase older Battle Passes.
Similar to League of Legends, ERBS features a system of runes and masteries. They call it Augments. These increases will be separated into three levels based on offense, defense, and utility. Players will be able to select a base increase from one of the three talent trees as well as sub-increases. There were originally supposed to be nine base increases, but the developers at ERBS have narrowed it down to seven in order to make the game easier. In the development letter, jack-of-all-trades developer Travis “Aesop” Walton explained how player retention and new players struggle with all new systems.
Some of these increases have already been revealed and more will be announced in the coming days.
ERBS relies heavily on the combat fantasy for which MOBAs are known. While the game plays out like a battle royale for survival, the in-game combat mechanics are top notch. For this reason, ERBS is developing a mode to capitalize on this and it is slated to be released in Season 4. In the development letter, Aesop stated that the new mode will be “a random select mode where we assign you a subject of random test and pit yourself against other players in a death king type match. ”He also said it was pretty much ERBS with a focus on combat. “Less looting, more fighting,” he declared.
The intent of the mode is to be a mode that allows new players to get used to the game and the characters. But it can also provide a relaxed experience for veteran players.
For many games, the holiday season is a cash cow, as players love to get into the holiday spirit, especially when they can get their favorite characters to do so as well. For this reason, in Season 4 of ERBS, Halloween and Christmas themed skins will be released throughout the season. This year, Emma will receive a Halloween skin. The development letter also revealed that William and Lenox will be receiving Christmas skins. The other characters with developing skins are Leon, Nadine, Eleven, Shoichi, Hyunwoo, Yuki. Rio and Nicky.
All of these skins will be released in Season 4.
