Free-To-Play Battle Royale My Hero Ultra Rumble Locks Into Local Switch Version

Earlier this year, Bandai Namco announced a new free-to-play 24-player battle royale – based on the my hero academia universe – is reportedly coming to the Nintendo Switch and several other platforms in Japan.

Now, during this weekend’s Anime Expo, it’s been confirmed that the game will be getting a western release. Pre-registration for the Closed beta on PlayStation 4 have now opened. And as part of this announcement, a new trailer has been released – showcasing cutscenes as well as gameplay.

As you can see, all of the main characters from the series will be present – heroes like All Might, Deku, and even Tsuyu “Froppy” Asui. Heroes will choose from Assault, Support, or Disruption classes in battle, team up with others, and use their “quirks” to battle.

There’s no word yet on a local release date, but if we hear any updates, we’ll let you know.
