Some new details about the rumored battle royale for Infinite Halo from 343 Industries leaked. According to the new information, the game’s battle royale will play out very similarly to most games in the genre, with players or teams dropping onto a map and battling it out until the last Spartan/team stands. . However, it may be a matter of putting some unique tricks on the mode that matches Infinite Halostyle and tradition.
The leaked information comes from Twitter user Bathrobe Spartan who shared a bunch of screenshots of what appears to be Infinite Halothe game files. According to the leak, Infinite HaloThe battle royale will have an initial intro phase, a rollout phase, and a release phase. During this drop phase, players can still join in-game sessions until the phase is over.
However, things start to differ with the starting loadout. In most battle royale games like Fortnite, players stumble across the map with no weapons or resources and have to dig areas for them. In Infinite Halo‘s Battle Royale, players will start with an initial loadout of weapons. Upon dropping into the map, players will also be able to control their Drop Pod.
Another Twitter user named Ains heard that the battle royale mode for Infinite Halo, code name Tatanka, could arrive in season 4 which begins in mid-2023. 343 Industries is currently working on content for Season 3 which will bring ray tracing support and a number of other features, which are expected to arrive in early 2023.
As with all leaks and rumors, take this with a grain of salt until we have confirmation from 343 Industries or Xbox. It may also be a while before the developer reveals any information about this Battle Royale mode, as it is part of the ongoing live service updates for the title.
