Battlefield 2042 is a live-service multiplayer game in 2021 – it’s safe to say that asking about Battle Pass features is a good one. You’ll be happy – or horrified – to know that Battlefield 2042 will have Battle Pass features. Here’s everything we know about the extent of those, however, and what it means.
BATTLEFIELD BATTLE PASS – What We Know
EA DICE focused a lot on the Portal mode of Battlefield 2042 and not a lot on the Battle Pass. We know Season 1 has been confirmed for early 2022 – which will include a Battle Pass that looks a lot like what we see in Apex Legends and Warzone – but what else do we know about it.
In the “What to Expect After Launch” section of this Battlefield 2042 blog post, EA DICE confirms that there will be four Seasons and Battle Passes in the first year of Battlefield 2042 content. not what we’ll see though, but expect there to be cosmetic items and XP boosts – something like what you’d see in a Battle Pass in another game.
“In our first year of live service, we will be offering four seasons, with four Battle Passes, four new Specialists, and new locations as well as more recent content. We also intend to provide Battlefield updates. Portal that will give players more ways to build and share new Battlefield experiences with the world.
This means that for Season 1, you can expect new specialist content, Battle Pass and portal, and maybe even new sites to see as the story of Battlefield 2042 continues to unfold. Expect more details early next year. “
Tom Henderson, a leaker, suggested we go see some added maps and expansions to the Battlefield 2042 arsenal of weapons and a selection of portal content..
We should find out more in the next few months, but don’t hope for anything too soon.
