The new multiplayer shooter from Gunzilla Games and Neill Blomkamp is said to be a 150 player third person battle royale game, with a dystopian cyberpunk theme. Players will fight on a “dystopian tropical island”, where the map changes in real time in response to certain in-game actions.

According to Gunzilla Games BlogOff The Grind is unlike any battle royale, as it aims to “evolve the genre with a heavy emphasis on narrative progressiongiving players the freedom to control the story and impact gameplay with every decision they make.

The most unique aspect of Off The Grid is the narrative, which the developers say is essential to how players go “create, customize, and trade their in-game items with each other.”

Off The Grid Trailer

In the trailer, although not much is shown, we get a glimpse of a weapon that looks like a futuristic AK-47. During this scene, the character shown in the trailer also extends a blade from his arm, perhaps indicating the emphasis on close-quarters melee combat.

We also took a look at a town near the end of the trailer, so maybe that’s the setting for the BR map. Of course, this is just speculation, but as more gameplay information is revealed, we’ll be sure to update this piece.
