Are you ready for the fight? Rumbleverse is a new free-to-play battle royale, but it’s not. If you like punching, grappling, and melee brawling with the occasional melee weapon, this is the battle royale game for you.
Rumbleverse is being developed by Iron Galaxy, best known for their continued work supporting 2013’s Killer Instinct in its later years.
The game is published by Epic Games (and is therefore an Epic Games Store exclusive on PC), and it shows. Rumbleverse monetization is what you’d expect from Fortnite, Rocket League, and more recently Fall Guys. Free-to-play, a seasonal battle pass with a paid tier where most of the cosmetic unlocks reside, and if you pay for the premium track and unlock everything, you’ll have more than enough in-game currency to unlock the battle from next season pass the premium track.
Either way, Rumbleverse will see you brawling in Grapital City where loot fights the game’s special moves and you can suplex people from the top of a ten-story building. The last rumbler standing wins.
Rumbleverse includes Duos mode (2 player games) and a kind of practice mode, Playground mode, where you can freely explore the city alone or with a buddy and find various practice lessons.
Rumbleverse is available now on PS4, PS5, PC (Epic Games Store), Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.
