A frustrating Battle Pass bug has been on and off for several months, and now it’s causing issues for Call of Duty: Warzone Season 2.
Call of Duty: Warzone fans have encountered bugs of all kinds in recent months. From invisible gulags and non-existent operator heads to buy station issues and weapon-specific issues, just about every type of problem has been encountered.
The game’s overall bug extends to the Call of Duty: Warzone menus, as a Battle Pass issue is preventing players from accessing seasonal unlocks. Obviously, this is a frustrating issue, so it helps to know what it looks like and know the workaround for such an issue when it occurs. Fortunately, images of the issue and how to get rid of it have been shared by the online community, so players should have no problem accessing the new Battle Pass cosmetics and weapons.
Call of Duty: Warzone Battle Pass Bug and How to Fix It
As seen in the clip by Reddit user adub915, the player simply cannot access the Battle Pass for Call of Duty: Warzone Season 2. Every time they switch tabs to review the Battle Pass and get a clear overview of its new additions, they’re taken straight to the “play” section of the menu to find a match. The video shows what happens for several seconds, confirming that this is not a one-time event. No matter how many times the player tries, the battle pass is simply inaccessible to him.
Luckily, a post’s comments had some solutions to the problem. One came from Reddit user j_skillz, and they share that the Season 2 Battle Pass is working well in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. It will probably be fully functional in Call of Duty: Vanguard likewise, although it does not help anyone who only plays the Battle Royale game. Fortunately, there is a solution that allows players to fix the problem in Call of Duty: Warzone itself, and it is extremely simple to make.
To fix the issue, Redditor myexkeepcallin shared that all Call of Duty: Warzone players need to do is hit the celebration jump button as soon as the Battle Pass is open. It seems the issue is with the Battle Pass animation itself, so if it is skipped before players are sent back to the “play” tab, they can effectively counter the bug before it happens. . Switching tabs as soon as the battle pass is open will apparently work too, so it might be worth a try if skipping the celebration doesn’t do the trick.
As the bug is believed to have been observed for over a year, we hope that Raven Software finds a fix for the issue soon. Otherwise, players will be stuck looking for answers online instead of collecting their Battle Pass rewards and having fun with the game.
Call of Duty: Warzone is available now on PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
