When is Fortnite season 9? Release date, battle pass, map, skins, news

Fans of Epic Games’ iconic battle royale game are gearing up for Fortnite Season 9 start date – new season means map changes, new battle pass, lots of new skins, and plenty more to get excited.

We might be enjoying all that Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 8 has to offer, but it’s already time to look ahead and look at everything that will come to Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 9.

Of course, there will be plenty of changes between now and then, as Season 8 still has a lot of life on it and we’ve only scratched the surface of what lies ahead.

But when will this new season end, and when will season 9 begin? Here are all the details!

What is the start date of Fortnite season 9?

We now have an official start date: Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 9 release date is Monday, December 6, 2021.

That’s right – Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 9 starts in just over a month and just in time for Christmas!

What is the end date of Fortnite season 8?

With the start of one season comes the end of another. The Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 9 countdown timer is on, which means you should start saying goodbye to the previous season.

Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 8 will end on Sunday, December 5. This means that you have more than enough time to complete whatever else is left for you to do during this final season of Fornite.

Fortnite Season 9 patch notes

After battling the Sideways and preventing them from taking over Apollo Island, the question now becomes: what’s next? And what will that mean for the Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 9 map concept? Whatever happens, we can be sure that change will be underway again.

What about Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 9 skins? No news has yet been released on what that might be, but we only have to look at the big pop culture events towards the end of the year to speculate. Could we see some Spider-Man related skins? The Matrix Resurrections is also slated for release in December – another film that would certainly lend itself to a Fortnite crossover. Doctor Strange is another name that has been added to the mix as a potential skin.

We know that a new Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 9 Battle Pass will also be on the way, but again, we’re still waiting to hear the details of what rewards will be offered for participating. We imagine we’ll start to find out more about this when we find out what the theme of Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 9 will be – rumors say it will be desert-based, so Mad Max skins are a definite possibility.

We’ll let you know of all the details as soon as we have them, including the Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 9 patch notes.
