Xbox Game Pass Battle Royale Naraka: Bladepoint Gets Free Co-op Campaign

Melee-focused battle royale Naraka: Bladepoint hit Xbox Series X and S in June, with an Xbox One version also expected to arrive later this year. We haven’t had a chance to properly check this one out yet (the battle royale fatigue is real), but the announcement of a free co-op campaign has us intrigued.

The “Showdown” campaign goes live in Naraka: Bladepoint today, August 5, and it’s all included in Xbox Game Pass. Going off of what’s been said so far, it looks like a Horde mode, set to two stages.

Picking up the exhilarating combat of the popular battle royale mode, players can take on the challenge in teams of three (trios) in this new mode. Over two stages, players will face a variety of challenges of varying difficulty as fierce enemies surround and attack them. As the difficulty increases, the trios will need to communicate and work together to survive and emerge victorious.

The mode looks quite interesting, even if it’s not a true “story campaign” as such. It should provide a nice alternative to the battle royale mode anyway, for players who prefer a more PvE-based experience.

Will you be trying out this co-op campaign mode on Xbox Game Pass? Let us know in the comments!
